Mishivas Nefesh - Revival of the Soul

Compilation of inspirational teachings, put together by Rebbe Alter of Teplic from the books of Rebbe Nachman and his student Rebbe Nasson. Meshivas Nefesh is based on one of Rebbe Nachman's main teachings that despair does not exist. Full of advice and tactics of how to remain strong through physical and spiritual hardships, this book is a great beginner for the first time Breslov reader.

Meshivas Nefesh teaches one how he can serve Hashem even if he has heaven forbid fallen to the lowest level. At the same time it inspires one to continue striving even though he has already reached high lofty levels.

Meshivas Nefesh was first published in Lemberg in 1920 by Rebbe Yisroel Karduner and Rebbe Zvi Veissleib.

Composed of three parts, the first two sections of Meshivas Nefesh are filled with excerpts from Rebbe Nachman's books; Likutay Maharan and Sichos Haran. Section three is composed of teachings found in Likutay Halachos written by by Rebbe Nason of Nimrov, Rebbe Nachman's main student.
